framed!

so it took a long time, but i finall put up my two penguin sketches in my room.

penguin! )

they're nothing fancy. i wanted to use these pretty aqua colored frames i found at michael's, but they weren't the right size. so instead i bought these cheapy plastic frames and decorated them with snowflake stickers. got the little "love" sign at michael's for $1 and put it in the middle. and voila!

i have a copy of "pop and the flash" framed and waiting to be hung somewhere, as well as a ton of postcards to collage with. but this is a start!

Choir News- week 3
Hi Everybody!

I know I had mentioned the idea of switching the days that the choir meets sometimes so more people can be involved. Karl and I were talking about it the other day and decided that at least for a little while we would like to stick with Tuesdays from 5:30-7 at the Free School. It feels really good in that space and I feel like it will be a lot of work to have to find a new spot and time every week. So we would like to meet this Tuesday 11/18 at the Free School (617 Decatur SW Oly, WA). We will take the following week off because both Karl and I will be out of town. Unless you guys just want to get together and sing without us. I won't feel left out!
Also, I was asked to play at the Olympia Library's Grand Re-opening on Friday January 16th. I am going to play a 45 minute set around 8pm and asked if the choir could close the night with a 15-20 minute set. The library was super excited about that idea! So mark your calendars. You don't have to be a part of live performances to be in the choir. I just thought it would be fun for people who like that kind of thing.

Okay, I hope to see you all on Tuesday!

spotlight on me and I'm ready to break
Friday was pj party day at work for children in need. It was a good afternoon. We raised quite a lot of money for charity which is always good.

I finished all my christmas shopping on Saturday. I might even start writing out my Christmas cards. I need to keep my mind occupied.

Sunday I went to the cinema to see the new bond movie. It was really good. I ♥ Daniel craig!

Britneys album Circus has been leaked. You have no idea how excited I am to have this album now!

My desk is a total mess. There is just crap all over it. It really needs to be tidied.

I've started to change all my icons on here. Hopefully it will encourage me to write in here more often.

This entry was quite stupid. I don't want to write about what I need to write about just now.

Timed Sale?

its been over a year since the last timed edition print run,
and i am considering doing another one (since many of you seem upset about the last sale.)...

this is a type of sale where the print will be available for exactly one hour,
and anyone who clicks the button during that time will be guaranteed a print.

the edition size will be much larger than usual of course.
(but maybe this will fend off some of those ebay flippers.)
and those of you who have had no success in the past sales, can finally get a chance!

nothing is final though.
i might change my mind about it all.
but just wanted to know what people thought. :)

(i wish you can click on more than one in this poll, but i dont know how to.)
(and i think you have to be signed in to vote?... im not quite sure how this works...)

Poll #1298743 Timed Edition Print
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All

Which of these 6 images would you most like to see as a timed edition print?

I am amused by the commercials playing on the Scifi channel during their Doctor Who broadcast. It's for the "Sonic Scrubber"

The Doctor would approve, I think.

I felt totally alone and irrelevant for the first 11 years of my life.

Then, a woman just like you (she had cancer as a child) became my foster parent and eventually adopted me.

when i was little i thought that radio stations had bands on stages waiting their turn to play. the room i imagined was huge with hundreds of stages...each stage had red velvet draping...and the bands waited there all day waiting to play their songs on the radio. imagine my surprise when i saw the show WKRP for the first time and realized the dj's were playing RECORDS!!!

I used to think there were tiny men inside traffic lights, watching traffic & pressing buttons to make the light change colors.

Putting the laws of time and plausiblity aside, picture a battle between the megalodon (a prehistoric shark with a six-foot jaw span) and a giant squid (reported to be the size of a school bus). Who would win?

Neither. Chuck Norris eats them both for breakfast.

Hey everyone!

So a little background.... I am 22 and a senior in college (i graduate next month) and I am going to school 800 miles away from where my mom and dad live (I live in New Jersey, they live in Kentucky).
My dad was diagnosed with cancer in early August, and being up here during the entire process has been torture for me, but my dad's main wish was for me to finish out school and not worry about him. Every time I come home to visit him he gets upset that I'm disrupting my life to check up on him. But he had surgery last month and he isn't doing so well.

Anyway, in July, I got a sketch from Kurt off of ebay with a bird on a branch, my dad saw it and he loved it and thought it was really cool.
Since my dad is in the hospital and doing very poorly and I've already sent him get well cards, I want to send him a sketch or print of kurt's work that will lift his spirits... something unique that I know he'll love.
He's a pilot, so I was thinking something with a plane. Does anyone have some of his work with a plane in it that they'd be willing to sell? He is also a 57 year-old man, he's a veteran and he loves the outdoors, if that helps! Any suggestions on what to get him would be very helpful. or are there any get well sketches or prints? :)

I don't have a lot of money, but I have stuff I'd be willing to part with for a trade.... if this isn't allowed I'm sorry, I didn't want to post it in a sales post because I wanted everyone to see it because it's really important to me I find something for my father.

Thanks for listening guys <3 sorry about the lengthy post.
